Web-Slinging Returns: Fortnite v41.30 Brings Back a Fan-Favorite Mythic

Fortnite update v41.30 has brought Spider-Man’s Web Shooters back to Battle Royale, giving players another opportunity to travel across the Island with one of the game’s most popular mobility items.
Players can purchase the Web Shooters from Spider-Man for 2,000 Gold at The Battlewoods point of interest or find them inside Spider-Man’s Backpacks scattered around the Island. The item prevents fall damage while swinging, maintains momentum when players approach the ground and can even pull nearby floor loot toward them.
The Web Shooters are currently available in non-competitive modes. Epic Games is also holding special Web Shooter Hours on August 1, during which the item will become a guaranteed drop and Spider-Man’s Backpacks will appear more frequently.
The update introduces two additional Sprites. The Lootin’ Llama Sprite gives players a chance to upgrade a weapon when opening an Ammo Box, while the Peeky Peely Sprite reveals nearby rare Sprite variants or enemies carrying them. However, using Peeky Peely also reveals the player’s own location.
Another important addition is the Lucky Locator Gizmo. This device guarantees a Chest containing a Sprite the player has not collected before, making it easier to complete the Sprite collection before the season ends.
The loot pool has also changed. The Spire Rifle has returned in Common through Epic rarities, while the Business Turret and the Uncommon and Rare versions of the Chaos Exploder Rifle have been removed.
Alongside the new gameplay content, Epic Games has delivered several fixes for PC, mobile devices, weapons, followers, visual effects and the user interface. PC players may notice faster launch times on certain systems, as well as a fix for a crash affecting some DirectX 12 users.
