Civilization VII Update 1.4.2 is now available across all supported platforms, introducing major diplomacy improvements, customizable victory settings and the second part of the Brush & Blade Collection.

Peace negotiations have received one of the update’s most important changes. Players can now offer Gold and Influence when attempting to end a war, expanding the system beyond exchanges involving Settlements.

The Peace Deal interface has also been redesigned to present information more clearly. Players can temporarily leave the negotiation screen to examine the map before accepting territorial exchanges or committing valuable resources.

Leader Relationships now provide clearer information about diplomatic conditions and the factors influencing another ruler’s opinion. These improvements are designed to make alliances, rivalries and long-term political strategies easier to understand.

Update 1.4.2 restores the ability to enable or disable individual Victory types when creating a game. Players can therefore remove unwanted victory conditions and build campaigns focused on military, scientific, cultural or economic goals.

The free update arrives alongside Brush & Blade Collection Part 2, which introduces Korean historical content. Admiral Yi Sun-sin joins the game as a new leader, accompanied by the Goryeo and Joseon civilizations.

Goryeo emphasizes scholarship and cultural development during the Exploration Age, while Joseon expands the collection with its own abilities, infrastructure and strategic identity for the Modern Age.

The update also includes artificial intelligence adjustments, interface improvements, balance changes and fixes affecting diplomacy, combat, Independent Powers and progression between Ages.

Active mods are automatically disabled after installing the update to reduce compatibility problems. Players can reactivate them through the Add-ons menu, although some mods may require updates from their creators.

By expanding peace negotiations and restoring greater control over victory conditions, Update 1.4.2 gives Civilization VII players more freedom to shape both the political direction and ultimate objective of every campaign.
