Ink Meets Treasure: Splatoon Raiders Storms the Islands
GamingSplatoon Raiders is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, taking the series away from its traditional competitive arenas and into a treasure-hunting adventure across the mysterious Spirhalite Islands.
Players become a customizable mechanic working alongside Deep Cut, the musical trio formed by Shiver, Frye and Big Man. Together, they explore dangerous islands, recover valuable treasure and confront waves of unpredictable Salmonids.
The game is primarily designed as a single-player adventure, but one member of Deep Cut accompanies the player inside a powerful battle bot. Commands can be issued during missions, allowing the bot to launch the mechanic into higher areas and prepare devastating Showstopper attacks.
Players can also team up with as many as three additional participants through online multiplayer or local wireless play. Cooperative support can make larger raids easier while giving groups more ways to combine weapons, gadgets and battlefield roles.
Three specialized tanks determine the gadgets available during each mission. The Power Tank focuses on direct attacks and crowd control, while the Speed Tank provides greater mobility for avoiding enemies and quickly crossing dangerous areas.
The Tactical Tank is designed for players who prefer controlling enemy movement and shaping the battlefield. Tanks can be changed between missions, allowing different strategies to be tested without permanently committing to one combat style.
Treasure recovered during raids can be used to craft equipment, improve gadgets and upgrade a wide selection of ink-based weapons. This progression system gives players stronger tools while encouraging repeated exploration of the islands.
Three difficulty settings are available and can be changed during the adventure. Difficulty affects enemy strength but does not reduce the quality of treasure earned during missions, allowing players to adjust challenging encounters without losing rewards.
Compatible Splatoon amiibo figures can unlock additional outfits, while the dedicated Shiver, Frye and Big Man Splatoon Raiders figures provide exclusive clothing inspired by the members of Deep Cut.
With customizable equipment, commanding a combat companion and optional four-player cooperation, Splatoon Raiders turns the series’ colorful ink combat into a larger exploration and treasure-building experience.
